Outdoor sculpture by Christopher Townsend and Andrew Thompson presented by the Turrill Sculpture Garden and a showcase of work by Art in Oxford Gallery participants.
Wendy Newhofer makes colorful glass pieces that have a painterly quality to them. A combination of glass and metal in the form of precious leaf and wire enables Wendy to draw within the glass and create a palette of subtle colors when the glass is fired. There is magical alchemy to this process which can be unpredictable but gives each piece its character.
The Turrill Sculpture Garden will present a series of artwork within the Oxford Castle Garden, featuring local sculptors including Christopher Townsend and Andrew Thompson.
Nine Oxfordshire Students will exhibit their work in the O3 Gallery and venues across the Oxford Castle site including La Tasca, Café 1071, The Living Room and the Malmaison Hotel. The students selected are Elizabeth Brannan-Williams, Neil Butterfield, Veronica Cordova, Janet Cross, Alex Hackett, Arthur Laidlaw, Dar Al Naim Mubarak, Bethany Naylor, and Claire Williams.
